The Dubai EDITION: From Opening Preview to Operating Hotel
The photographs in this article were taken before the hotel opened and show the final construction period. They should not be read as a current representation of completed rooms or public spaces. The present hotel is fully operational.
The Dubai EDITION Review: Highlights
- The location: The hotel sits on Dubai Fountain Street. Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, the fountains and Dubai Opera are within a short walk, making it convenient for visitors who want a central Downtown base.
- The rooms: The completed hotel has 275 rooms and suites, not the 210 projected before opening. Marriott currently lists 42 suites plus a penthouse. Interiors use light oak, natural stone and Italian statuario marble.
- The public spaces: A high domed lobby, triple spiral staircase and crystal chandelier create the dramatic social setting associated with EDITION hotels. The design feels more energetic than a conventional business hotel.
- Dining: Marriott currently lists four venues: Italian cooking at Duomo, Mediterranean food beside the pool at Thia Skylounge, Japanese wagyu and omakase at KEN by Kamatsuda, and HUSH by Black Star. Breakfast is available for a fee at Duomo.
- Wellness: Facilities include an outdoor infinity pool, complimentary fitness centre, beauty salon and a spa with three treatment rooms. A playroom is available for children aged four to twelve.

The Dubai EDITION Review: Things to Know
- Rates vary significantly with room type, events and season. Compare the flexible cash rate with Marriott Bonvoy redemption options before booking.
- The hotel is close to major Downtown attractions, but road congestion can add time to taxi journeys at busy periods.
- Poolside venues and external restaurant operators may use different age policies, reservation rules and dress codes. Confirm directly when booking.
The Dubai EDITION Review: Booking Tips
- Marriott Bonvoy benefits depend on status, rate and availability. Confirm breakfast, upgrades and late checkout rather than assuming they are included.
- Ask about the room outlook before arrival. Views can face Old Town, Burj Khalifa or the wider city skyline.
- Book Duomo, Thia or KEN separately when the restaurant is an important part of the stay.
Before You Book
- Compare the room view and cancellation terms, not only the nightly rate.
- Confirm breakfast inclusion and eligible Bonvoy benefits.
- Check current restaurant hours and pool access arrangements.
