Location and Scale
The towers rise above Business Bay near Dubai Water Canal. Business Bay metro station connects the area with central Dubai, although the walk and weather should be considered.
The hotel was once widely promoted as the world’s tallest. That record later moved elsewhere and now belongs to Ciel Dubai Marina. JW Marriott Marquis remains one of Dubai’s most recognisable twin tower hotels.
Scale is central to the experience. Guests should allow time to reach restaurants, meeting rooms and the correct tower.

Our Deluxe Room
Check in was smooth during our 2020 stay, despite the extra health declarations required at the time. We received a generously sized deluxe room with neutral, restrained decor.
The bathroom sat beside the entrance and was the room’s highlight. It felt unusually large, with a detached bathtub, walk in shower, separate toilet and a complete amenity selection.
The bedroom included an Illy coffee machine, complimentary water, a small refrigerator and a generous desk.
A king bed faced the television and lounge chairs. The neutral palette helped the room feel calm.
The room appeared to have a balcony, but it was locked during our stay. Guests should not assume balcony access from photographs alone.
Executive Lounge
Our Marriott Bonvoy status provided Executive Lounge access. The 37th floor location offered excellent views across Dubai.
During our stay, the lounge served afternoon tea and an evening happy hour. Snacks included both hot and cold options, and drinks were available.
Marriott currently describes the lounge as offering breakfast, refreshments throughout the day, evening snacks and business services. Executive rooms and suites include access. Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador members also qualify under the listed terms.

Breakfast and Restaurants
Breakfast was served in the large all day restaurant. Its scale was striking, yet the quality remained consistent across the stations we tried.
The buffet covered international choices, including dedicated Indian and Asian sections. A dessert area with an ice cream counter made the breakfast particularly memorable.
The hotel currently lists 14 restaurants and one bar. Options include Kitchen6, Tong Thai, La Farine, Nomadia, Bridgewater Tavern, Izakaya, Lush Burger and Aqua. Prime68 and Rang Mahal are temporarily closed at the time of this update.
Spa, Pool and Fitness
Saray Spa has 17 treatment rooms, two hammams, two private spa suites and separate relaxation areas. This is a substantial facility rather than a small treatment room.
Club Marquis provides the main gym, while BodyBase offers reformer training. Guests also have access to an outdoor pool.

JW Marriott Marquis Dubai succeeds through scale. The large room, impressive bathroom, broad breakfast and elevated lounge created a memorable stay.
Its many restaurants and extensive spa make it easy to remain on site. However, guests who prefer a small and quiet hotel may find the property overwhelming.
