Sheraton Dubai Creek has stood beside the waterway since 1978. Its location offers a different view of Dubai, with traditional dhows, Deira and the modern skyline visible from the same hotel.
Our original stay took place in 2020. We received a Club floor room with a direct Creek view. This refreshed review preserves that experience while updating the hotel’s present facilities and practical information.

Arrival and Club floor upgrade
Check in was smooth during our visit. As Marriott Bonvoy elite members, we received a room on the Club floor. No suite was available, but the standard room still felt spacious.
Valet parking had been suspended during the pandemic, so guests used self parking. Both self parking and valet parking are now listed as complimentary.
Our Creek view room
The room had two beds, a useful desk and plenty of power points. It felt comfortable for both work and a short leisure stay.
Printed material had been removed during our stay and replaced with a disposable room service menu. That was a temporary pandemic measure rather than a lasting hotel feature.
Dubai Creek views
The view was the room’s strongest feature. Old Dubai and the modern skyline appeared in one frame, giving the hotel a clear sense of place.
Traditional wooden dhows moved along the water throughout the day. The abra crossings remain one of the most affordable and memorable ways to experience the Creek.
Choose a Creek facing room if the price difference is sensible. A city view room cannot provide the same character.
Bathroom and room condition
The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. It included a walk in shower, bathtub and a broad selection of amenities.
Marriott states that the hotel completed a full renovation in 2015. The rooms still combine modern fittings with a more traditional full service hotel layout.
Sheraton Club Lounge
The usual Club Lounge location was not operating during our 2020 stay. Elite services moved to the main restaurant, where guests had another close view of the Creek.
Afternoon service included sweets, tea and small sandwiches served to the table.
The dedicated Sheraton Club Lounge is operating again. Marriott currently lists all day refreshments and complimentary access for Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members, plus one guest. Guests can also book a Club room.
Pool, gym and spa
The hotel has a heated outdoor pool, a separate children’s pool and a fitness centre with cardio and strength equipment.
Niyama Spa offers treatments. Current wellness facilities also include a sauna and steam room.
Restaurants and bars
The hotel offers several established dining venues. Vivaldi serves Italian food beside the Creek. Chelsea Arms is a British style pub, while the Lobby Café handles coffee, cakes and light food.
By The Bay serves drinks and light meals near the pool. Marriott currently marks Hatta, the breakfast restaurant shown in older material, as temporarily closed.

Location and airport access
The hotel suits guests who want Deira, Dubai Creek and quick access to Dubai International Airport. Union and Baniyas Square metro stations are nearby, although a taxi may be easier with luggage.
Marriott lists DXB at 6 kilometres from the hotel. There is no complimentary airport shuttle. A reserved car is currently listed at AED 175 each way.

Our room delivered excellent Creek views, a spacious bathroom and comfortable Club service. The outlook gave this older hotel more personality than many newer city properties.
Current dining, lounge and wellness facilities keep it competitive. Its location is best for Deira, heritage areas and airport access rather than beach holidays.
Our verdict: A characterful Dubai Creek hotel with memorable views, convenient airport access and the services expected from a full service Sheraton.
