- The Le Meridien hotel and conference center is adjacent to the Dubai airport, ideal base as a quick stop over or to prevent a long journey from another Emirate or city in the UAE to depart from Dubai Airport. The hotel is an oasis next to the airport with 3 swimming pools and spread out over a large resort style property.
- The rooms are recently refurbished with a modern aesthetic with plenty of wood and marble. The property is spread over 15 hectares and contains 18 restaurants on site. Further the hotel has 589 rooms and over 5000 sq feet of banqueting and meeting room spaces. As the hotel is low rise, majority of the rooms have gardens or private outdoor seating with direct access to pools.
- There are plenty of services on site such as hair salon for men and women, as well as spa service and a full service gym, which spreads across two floors. Alongside the gym is also a multi lane lap fitness pool.
- The lobby of the hotel is grand and can be easily used to accommodate meetings in privacy. In addition, there is a business center within the center of the lobby with computers, printers and other connectivity solutions.
Review of Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre – Things to Note
- The executive lounge at the time of stay was closed, however the hotel has made alternative accommodations and serves tea time (pictured below) from 3pm to 5pm which comprises of light snacks such as cakes and finger sandwiches along with tea, coffee or selection of juices. There is also happy hour served from 7pm to 8:30pm with light bites and alcohol. Bear in mind that breakfast is not included with lounge access currently at the hotel, therefore Marriott Bonvoy elite members need to elect breakfast as during check in instead of points.
- The gym is not open 24 hours, instead the operating hours are from 6am to 11pm in the evening.
- The breakfast is served buffet style but with assistance of staff and continues to operate as normal with full selection. The pastries each morning change and the chef prepares difference varieties each say for example the croissants from cheese croissants to chocolate croissants are particularly delicious. Likewise, the healthy section, changes daily for example each day there is a different salad on offer and light bites such as baguette with peanut butter, sliced banana and cinnamon.
