Updated September 2026
Ajman Saray offers a genuine resort break within reach of Dubai. The private beach, sea view rooms and compact layout make it easy to spend most of a stay on the property.
During our August 2020 visit, a high floor sea view room gave us wide views across the Arabian Gulf and the resort. This refresh keeps that firsthand stay intact while separating temporary pandemic measures from the current hotel experience.

Arrival and First Impressions
Ajman is one of the smaller emirates in the UAE. The resort sits on a beach strip near the Fairmont Ajman and feels removed from the busier parts of Dubai.
Our 2020 check in was seamless after self parking. Valet service had paused because of the temporary health measures in place at that time. Marriott now lists both self parking and valet parking as complimentary.
The Sea View Room
Our room followed a practical layout, with a desk, small refreshment area and television in the main space.

The desk held temporary notices and a printed room service menu during our visit.

A separate toilet sat near the entrance. This is useful when two guests are getting ready at the same time.

Bathroom and Gulf Views
The main bathroom was one of the room’s best features. A bathtub faced the water, while a large walk in shower offered a more practical option.

Arabic design details gave the bathroom more character than a standard chain hotel room.

Marriott currently highlights bathtubs, walk in showers and Byredo amenities in its room information. Every room is also listed with a private balcony.
Balcony and Space
Our balcony overlooked the restaurants, pools and children’s area below.

As a Marriott Bonvoy elite member, we received Arabic sweets as a welcome amenity. The baklava was especially good.

The room offered ample space to relax indoors or outside. Seating and a lounger made the balcony more useful than a decorative ledge.

Food and Dining
We ordered the hotel classic: a club sandwich. Swapping bacon for avocado made it a little lighter, and the kitchen handled it well.

Current dining includes Vista for international all day dining, Bab Al Bahr Beach Bar & Grill, Escape Equestrian Bar and Al Shorfa cafe. Marriott lists Mejhana as temporarily closed. Room service is available, including 24 hour in room dining.
Beach, Pools and Facilities
Sunset from the room was a highlight. Light across the Gulf gave the view a calm, reflective quality.

In the morning, the private beach was groomed and ready for swimming or a quiet walk.

The hotel currently lists two outdoor pools, including a children’s pool. A kids club and playground support family stays. Zihn Spa and a fitness centre complete the main leisure offering.

Things to Note
- The setting is resort focused. Most guests will spend much of the stay on property.
- Travel time varies. Dubai traffic can change the journey considerably.
- Dining availability changes. Confirm restaurant opening days before arrival.
- High floors help the view. Ask for the outlook you prefer, but upgrades are not guaranteed.
- Book direct benefits carefully. Bonvoy perks depend on status, rate and availability.
Tips
Compare the full package. Breakfast or half board can offer better value if you plan to remain at the resort.
Confirm airport transfers. Marriott lists transfer service for Sharjah and Dubai airports. Ask about price and schedule before booking.
Request a sea view. It was central to our experience and made the balcony worth using.

The Brief Review Verdict
Ajman Saray works best as a calm beach escape. The sea view room, spacious bathroom and private balcony made our stay feel removed from the city.
Its location is less convenient for a packed Dubai itinerary. It makes far more sense when the resort itself is the destination.
Our verdict: A strong Luxury Collection stay for Gulf views, private beach time and a quieter UAE weekend.
