Our stay included an upgrade to a sea view room on the ninth floor. The room was compact, modern and comfortable, with a balcony that made the location feel special.

Location on the Palm
The hotel sits near the end of the East Crescent. Reaching it takes time once you enter the Palm, but the tradeoff is a quieter resort setting.
Marriott currently lists Dubai International Airport at 42 kilometres from the hotel. No airport shuttle is provided, so a taxi or car is the practical choice.
The beach sits across the road from the main building. It is managed by the hotel and includes a beach bar and staff assistance.
The Sea View Room
The entrance placed the bathroom and wardrobe to the left, with the bedroom straight ahead. Mirrors helped the compact space feel larger.
Coffee, tea and water were provided. A desk, television and luggage bench used the available space efficiently.
The work area was simple and included built in power connections.
Bathroom
The shower felt spacious relative to the room. Marriott now highlights walk in showers and Eleva Spa amenities in its room description.
Our bathroom included soap, lotion and a hair dryer. The dryer needed to be used near the desk because there was no suitable bathroom outlet.
Bed and Balcony
The room looked clean and modern from the balcony. Its layout suited a short stay better than a long visit with extensive luggage.
The bed was large and comfortable, which matters more than extra floor space for a short stay.
Our outlook stretched towards the Burj Al Arab and central Dubai. The view represented much of the hotel’s value.
The crescent location places water between the hotel and mainland Dubai. It feels calmer than the Palm trunk, though journeys into the city take longer.
Our balcony included two chairs and a small table. Opening the balcony door stopped the air conditioning, which is common in Dubai hotels.
Dining and Facilities
Luchador Roof Cantina & Lounge remains on the eleventh floor. Its terrace provides broad skyline views alongside Mexican food and drinks.
East & Seaboard handles international dining and currently opens daily from 7 AM to 10:30 PM. Re:fuel provides snacks around the clock. The property also lists W XYZ Bar, Aloha Beach and Bar, and Splash Pool Bar. Meraki Greek Taverna is currently marked as temporarily closed.
Facilities include an outdoor saline pool, a children’s pool, Eleva Spa and the complimentary re:charge gym.

The location is the main compromise. It suits a relaxed stay far better than a packed city itinerary.
