Location
The hotel sits close to Piazza della Repubblica and the Opera House. Roma Termini is also nearby. The Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are reachable on foot, although walking times depend on pace and traffic.

Arrival and Service
The interiors make an immediate impression. Chandeliers, marble floors and elaborate detailing create a grand sense of place. Despite the scale, the welcome did not feel impersonal.
Staff recognised us by name after the first day. That detail shaped the stay more than any single facility. Service remained polished without becoming distant.
The St Regis Butler Service is a central part of the brand. During our stay, coffee or tea could be delivered to the room with biscuits. Butler inclusions vary by room type and current policy, so confirm the services attached to your reservation.
The Room
Our room blended traditional detailing with modern comforts. A chandelier, framed art and patterned fabrics gave it character. The bed, chaise, desk and television were arranged without making the room feel crowded.
The coffee station included an Illy pod machine and bottled water. A chilled minibar, international sockets and a bedside radio covered the practical details. The courtyard facing window brought in daylight but not a broad city view.
Menus photographed during the stay show the in room dining choices and prices available at that time. They are kept in the photo section for context, not as current pricing.
The Bathroom
The bathroom was one of the room’s strongest features. Black marble, classic metal fittings and a deep bathtub created a luxurious look. A separate shower, bidet and generous counter space made it functional.
Acqua di Parma products were provided during our stay. Brands and amenity formats can change, so the photographs should be treated as a record of the visit.
Breakfast at Lumen
Lumen serves breakfast daily from 07:00 to 11:00. Marriott currently lists a buffet price of €65 per person. That price is time sensitive and should be confirmed when booking.
Our breakfast selection felt smaller than at some other five star hotels. Quality made the better impression. Fresh produce and well prepared egg dishes kept the meal satisfying.
Elite breakfast benefits depend on current Marriott Bonvoy rules, status, rate and welcome gift selection. Do not assume breakfast is included. Confirm the benefit at check in, especially when more than one guest is staying.
Dining and Drinks
Lumen is the hotel’s all day dining venue. It serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks in an elegant setting. A seasonal Lumen Garden is advertised for private receptions from May to September.
Marriott also lists Akira Back as coming soon. An opening date is not confirmed on the hotel page, so check the current dining list before planning around it.
Fitness and Wellness
The fitness centre included treadmills, bikes, free weights, benches and strength equipment during our stay. It was practical rather than resort sized.
