Updated October 2026.
Daikan is a homegrown UAE ramen specialist that began as a small pop up in 2017. The Jumeirah Lake Towers branch remains a compact and casual place for generous bowls of chicken or tofu ramen. The brand now operates several locations, so diners should check the official directory before travelling.

Locations
Daikan’s official location page currently lists JLT, Nakheel Mall, Dubai Festival City Mall and Nad Al Sheba Mall in Dubai. It also lists Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain. The former DIFC address from the original article is no longer included.
Location details on the official site are not entirely consistent with its brand story. Check Daikan’s official website before visiting, especially for newer branches and holiday hours.
Atmosphere
The JLT ramen bar felt small and homely during the visit. R and B music played while the open kitchen kept the room lively. The compact format created energy, but tables filled quickly during the evening.
Guests who prefer a calmer meal should arrive before the main dinner period. Parking in JLT can also require patience, although spaces in nearby clusters provide alternatives.
Ramen and menu
The menu centres on chicken or tofu ramen. Bases include shio, shoyu, miso, spicy miso and the richer Chef’s Special. The current official menu also lists gyoza, miso aubergine, karaage, bao and donburi.
The Miso Tantan Chicken Ramen ordered during the visit arrived quickly and in a generous portion. Its warm, savoury broth and noodles were the highlight. The large wooden spoon and chopsticks made the bowl easy to tackle.
The online menu currently lists core ramen from AED 50, with the Chef’s Special at AED 65. Bites generally range from AED 20 to AED 50. Prices can change, so confirm them when ordering.
Dessert
Matcha ice cream was a refreshing finish after the spicy ramen during the original visit. The current menu also lists sesame ice cream, Nutella gyoza and matcha crème brûlée.

Daikan remains a strong casual choice for comforting ramen in Dubai. The Miso Tantan bowl was generous, warm and satisfying during the original visit. The JLT branch is small and parking can be awkward, but the food and relaxed atmosphere make it worth considering.
