Splendour Fields Review – Highlights

  • Set in its own new building in JLT directly nestled within the JLT park housing not one but three concepts by EatX. The restaurant group which all started with the now infamous Tom & Serg in Al Quoz. Splendour Fields feels like the elegant older sister of the original. The other two concepts are Franky in Florence and Hawkerboi.
  • The restaurant has a chic Australian vibe with warm atmosphere and service. An excellent team greet you and seat you either indoors or outdoors. There is even more casual circular bench tables for lighter bites or group of friends. Including furry friends as we saw some people sitting there with their pets.
  • Splendour Fields uses produce from its sister brands such as bread and pastry from Rise & Dawn as well as coffee beans from Encounter.
  • All menu items are produced with high quality ingredients which you can taste on the first bite, each are expertly crafted to induce joy and a smile or first bite or first sip. The eggs on toast (34 AED) we had were soft and melted in our mouth combined with the light crunch of the buttery sourdough with each bite. Likewise the coffee (20 AED + 6 AED for almond milk) was silky smooth and provided the perfect accompaniment to the dish.
  • Other highlights on the breakfast menu include the sweetcorn fritters (56 AED) with poached egg, kale, rose & tomato harissa chutney, bacon, goat’s cheese, lime and mixed herbs. As well as the ricotta hotcakes (52 AED) with orange curd, gingerbread crumbs, blueberries, white chocolate, orange segments and candies are not to be missed.
  • There is plenty of parking outside the restaurant, which is a rarity for JLT outside the new JLT Park.
