Updated September 2026
The Westin City Centre Bahrain is a practical luxury hotel for travellers who want direct mall access and an easy base in Manama. Its connection to City Centre Bahrain places shopping, dining and entertainment within a short indoor walk.
Our original stay took place in 2021. The suite felt understated and business focused, while the Westin Heavenly Bed made the room especially comfortable. Scented sleep balm beside the bed was another thoughtful touch.
Some facilities were restricted during that visit. This refreshed Westin City Centre Bahrain review separates those temporary arrangements from the hotel experience available today.

Location and Mall Access
The hotel connects directly to City Centre Bahrain in the Al Seef district. Marriott says the mall has more than 340 shops, along with restaurants and leisure options.
This connection is the hotel’s clearest advantage. Guests can reach the mall without arranging transport or spending long periods outside during hot weather.
The main highway is also close. Our experience was that most central Bahrain destinations could be reached without a complicated journey, although traffic can change travel times.
Le Méridien shares the same City Centre setting. Read our Le Méridien City Centre Bahrain review before choosing between the two hotels.
Rooms and Our Suite Experience
The property has 200 rooms and suites. During our stay, the room design felt simple, calm and suited to business travel.
Our suite included separate living and sleeping areas. The extra space made it comfortable for working, relaxing and unpacking properly.
The Westin Heavenly Bed was one of the strongest features. It delivered the soft, comfortable sleep experience associated with the brand.
A television system offered access to streaming applications and device connections. Technology changes quickly, so confirm current casting options if this matters to your stay.
Westin City Centre Bahrain Review: Highlights
- Direct mall connection: City Centre Bahrain is easy to reach from the hotel.
- Comfortable rooms: The Heavenly Bed remains a central part of the Westin experience.
- Executive Lounge: Eligible guests have a dedicated space with bay views and refreshments.
- Wellness facilities: The hotel lists a spa, fitness studio, outdoor pool, children’s pool and whirlpool.
- Useful parking: Both self parking and valet parking are currently complimentary.
Executive Lounge
The Westin Executive Lounge is currently listed as open daily from 6:00 am until midnight. It offers bay views, drinks throughout the day, wireless internet and personalised service.
Complimentary access is listed for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members, plus one guest. Travellers can also book an eligible room with lounge access.
During our 2021 stay, snacks and evening bites were packaged for collection because dining restrictions were in place. That was a temporary arrangement and should not be treated as the current lounge service.
Dining
Current dining includes Furn Bistro, Furn Bakery and Rotunda, Mezzanine Lounge and Bar, and Nasmat beside the pool. Marriott also promotes Salero for modern Spanish dining.
The selection covers morning coffee, casual food and evening drinks. Restaurant hours can change, so check the hotel’s dining page before planning around one venue.
Direct mall access also expands the choice considerably. This is helpful for longer stays or groups with different dining preferences.
Pool, Gym and Spa
The official hotel information now lists an outdoor pool, a children’s pool and a whirlpool. These facilities were closed under government rules during our original visit.
WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio includes cardio and strength equipment, plus reformer Pilates. The current listing also describes the fitness centre as complimentary.
Heavenly Spa by Westin has ten treatment rooms and separate facilities for men and women. One of its notable features is a large hammam.
Westin City Centre Bahrain Review: Things to Note
- No airport shuttle: Marriott currently says the hotel does not provide one.
- Private transport costs extra: Confirm the latest rate before requesting a hotel car.
- Lounge eligibility varies: Check the room description and your Bonvoy benefits before arrival.
- Mall convenience shapes the stay: This is an urban hotel, not a beach resort.
- Current hours can change: Verify restaurant, lounge, pool and spa schedules before relying on them.
Value for Money
Value is strongest when you will use the direct mall connection, parking and wellness facilities. Lounge access can also improve the overall package for eligible guests.
Compare the final rate with Le Méridien next door. The better choice may depend on room type, lounge access and the benefits included on your dates.
