Our original visit took place shortly after the terminal opened. Arrival and departure felt smooth, while the open views across the aircraft stands gave aviation enthusiasts plenty to watch.

The Passenger Terminal
The current terminal opened on 28 January 2021. Its arrival and departure areas replaced the older passenger facilities with a far larger building.
Clear signs and a logical layout helped make our journey straightforward. Immigration, baggage claim, check in and security were easy to identify.
The terminal has high ceilings and large windows along the airside areas. These give passengers excellent views of parked aircraft, taxiways and runway activity.
First and business class passengers have a dedicated premium check in area. Access conditions depend on the airline and ticket, so confirm the correct entrance before arrival.

Entry remains subject to the traveller’s membership, card benefits, same day boarding pass and lounge capacity. Check the application shortly before travel rather than relying on an older review.

Getting Between the Airport and Manama
Bahrain International Airport sits in Muharraq, across the water from central Manama. Journey time depends on traffic and the exact destination.
