Streamer Coffee Company Harajuku Review | Tokyo

Updated October 2026: the Harajuku address, branch format, payment information and current operating guidance have been checked.

Streamer Coffee Company Harajuku is a specialist coffee bar in Tokyo’s Jingumae district. The branch combines an industrial container style setting with serious espresso equipment and a compact drinks menu.

During our visit, the cafe felt relaxed despite its central Harajuku location. The iced coffee was refreshing, the counter had plenty of character and the banana bread was pleasantly restrained rather than overly sweet.

The Harajuku coffee bar

Streamer describes this location as its Barista Pro Shop. It opened in 2012 and occupies three stacked shipping containers. The branch uses a customised La Marzocco Linea Classic machine and serves Tokyo Cold Brew.

The interior is compact and functional. Stickers, coffee tools and equipment create a workshop feel rather than a polished chain cafe. Seating may be limited when the area is busy.

Our coffee experience

The iced coffee had a clean, direct flavour and worked well during a day of walking around Harajuku. The visible preparation area made the experience feel personal.

Our photographed menu is historical. Signature drinks, sizes and prices may have changed. The Military Latte has long been associated with Streamer, but availability should be checked at the counter.

Food and value

Food plays a supporting role. The banana bread from our visit was not too sweet and paired well with coffee. Expect a smaller food selection than at a full breakfast cafe.

Value is strongest for visitors who care about espresso quality, cold brew and barista preparation. If you mainly need a quick inexpensive drink, Harajuku has cheaper alternatives.

Things to know

  • The branch is officially listed as the Barista Pro Shop.
  • Hours should be confirmed through the branch’s current Instagram page.
  • The menu photographed during our visit is historical.
  • Food choices are limited.
  • The compact interior can become crowded.
  • Confirm the accepted payment method before ordering.

Practical tips

  1. Visit earlier in the day for a calmer counter experience.
  2. Ask which beans or cold brew options are available.
  3. Choose the Military Latte only if you enjoy both matcha and espresso.
  4. Keep a mobile payment option available.
