Location and Arrival
The hotel occupies a convenient West Bay position beside the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. A direct connection leads into City Center Mall, which is useful for shopping, meals and escaping the heat.
DECC Metro Station on the Red Line is also connected to the hotel. Marriott estimates the journey from Hamad International Airport station at about 23.5 minutes.
The original visit found the hotel particularly practical for business travellers. The large lobby links the hotel accommodation with its longer stay apartments.
Superior Room and Junior Suite
Both the superior room and junior suite felt spacious during the stay. Dark wood, bright carpets and large windows created the familiar full service Marriott look.
Useful details included a Nespresso machine with branded capsules, TWG tea and a generous number of electrical connections. The room also had a proper work desk and broad West Bay views.
The junior suite added a separate living area and dining table. Current room categories include guest rooms, suites and apartments with one, two or three bedrooms.
Executive Lounge
The photographs and meal observations below document temporary arrangements from July 2021. At that time, lounge service moved to Crossroads and included afternoon drinks and a served evening meal.
The dedicated Executive Lounge is operating again. Marriott describes daily breakfast, evening bites, city views and work space. Access is included with eligible executive rooms and for Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador members, plus one guest.

Breakfast and Restaurants
Breakfast was a highlight of the original stay. The assisted buffet included fruit, yoghurt, pastries and other cold items. Cooked dishes such as poached eggs and Indian dosa were prepared to order.
The quality was strong, although popular periods could produce a wait for cooked dishes. Arriving earlier is sensible if the morning schedule is tight.
Marriott currently lists ten dining venues. These include Cucina, Ipanema, Champions Sports Bar, Crossroads Kitchen, Aqua Lounge and Glo Bar. Check the official dining guide because restaurant hours can change.
Pool, Spa and Fitness Centre
The outdoor pool, Saray Spa and fitness centre occupy the wellness area. During the visit, the pool had shaded loungers and attentive water service.
The gym stood out for its size and broad equipment selection. Saray Spa currently lists nine treatment rooms, along with relaxation areas, a steam room and sauna.
