Four Points by Sheraton Bali Ungasan Review | Uluwatu

Updated October 2026.

Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Ungasan is a practical Marriott hotel on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula. It offers large rooms, an infinity pool, a spa and a rooftop restaurant overlooking Jimbaran Bay. This review combines observations from the original stay with current hotel information.

Four Points Bali Ungasan at a glance

  • Location: Jalan Raya Uluwatu, Ungasan, Kuta Selatan
  • Check in: 3pm
  • Check out: Noon
  • Parking: Complimentary on site parking
  • Pets: Not permitted
  • Airport: Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport is 11.7 kilometres away

Location and arrival

The hotel sits in central Ungasan, making it a useful base for exploring Uluwatu, Jimbaran and the southern beaches. It overlooks Jimbaran Bay but is not directly on the beach. Traffic on the peninsula can be slow, so journey times vary considerably.

The official hotel page currently lists a daily shuttle to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. Airport transfers also require advance booking. Travellers comparing nearby resorts can read our Renaissance Bali Uluwatu review and Bulgari Resort Bali review.

Lobby and layout

The open lobby made a strong first impression during the visit. A rock and waterfall feature created a relaxed arrival. Reception and concierge facilities were grouped on the entrance level.

Most shared facilities sit on another level. The hotel spreads across several floors, so some routes require two lifts. This is worth considering for guests who prefer simple access.

Rooms

The king room visited felt spacious and recently refreshed. It included a work area, lounge chair, coffee and tea facilities, complimentary water and a private balcony. The bathroom was compact but functional.

Higher floors can offer wide views across southern Bali. Current room categories include balconies or terraces, while family suites add separate living space. Room outlooks vary, so request a Jimbaran Bay view if it matters.

Breakfast and dining

Breakfast at Evolution Restaurant covered the essentials well. The buffet included continental choices, hot dishes and an egg station. It represented good value within the original stay.

Breakfast is not automatically complimentary with every rate. Evolution remains the hotel’s only restaurant and currently operates daily from 6:30am to 11pm. It serves Indonesian and international dishes, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Pool, spa and fitness

The outdoor infinity pool is one of the hotel’s strongest leisure features. A separate family pool is also listed. Escape Spa offers massages, while the fitness centre is open 24 hours and looks across Jimbaran Bay.

The facilities suit a short Uluwatu stay rather than a full beachfront holiday. For another affordable Bali option with a different location, see our Aloft Bali Seminyak review.

Highlights

  • Large rooms with balconies or terraces
  • Infinity pool and views towards Jimbaran Bay
  • Generous breakfast during the original stay
  • Complimentary parking and a 24 hour gym
  • Central base for exploring the Bukit Peninsula

Things to note

  • The hotel is not directly on the beach.
  • Traffic can make short distances take longer than expected.
  • Some routes through the property require more than one lift.
  • Breakfast and airport transfers may cost extra.
  • App based transport availability can vary by location and time.

Before booking

Compare the room views and breakfast terms before paying. Reserve the airport transfer directly if required. Allow extra travel time for beaches, restaurants and the airport, especially during busy periods.
