Location and Transport
The main advantage is the location. Dubai World Trade Centre is directly across the main road, making the hotel useful for conferences and exhibitions.
World Trade Centre Metro Station is a short walk away. The Red Line connects the area with Downtown Dubai, Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina and Dubai International Airport.
Marriott lists DXB at 10km from the hotel. No airport shuttle is provided, so guests need a taxi, private transfer or metro connection.
Driving is also straightforward from Sheikh Zayed Road. Guest parking is complimentary, although the official page warns that spaces are limited.
Rooms
Our standard room had a comfortable king bed, modern television and a useful work area. The lighting around the desk made it easy to work in the evening.
The bathroom was spacious for a city hotel. It had a walk in shower, fixed toiletries and a separate area for the basin and amenities.
Storage included a wardrobe, ironing board, robe and slippers. Complimentary water, coffee and tea were also provided during our stay.
Marriott currently lists the standard king room at 27 square metres. It includes a mini fridge, desk, coffee and tea facilities, shower and floor to ceiling windows.
Views and Noise
Our room looked towards Sheikh Zayed Road and the surrounding city. Some views also included nearby construction, which reflected the area at the time of the stay.
Traffic noise may affect rooms facing busy roads. Light sleepers should request a higher floor or a room away from the main street.
Construction changes quickly in Dubai. A view shown in the original photographs may now look different.
Pool, Fitness and Spa
The outdoor rooftop pool is one of the hotel’s strongest features. It provides open skyline views and a useful place to relax after meetings or sightseeing.
The terrace became busy at peak times during our stay. Earlier mornings are a better choice for a quieter swim.
The hotel also lists a complimentary fitness centre and an onsite spa. Current opening hours and treatment prices should be confirmed directly.
Dining and Breakfast
The hotel currently lists four dining venues. Cosmic Kitchen is the main international restaurant and opens daily from 6:30am to 11:30pm.
Caf De Caf in the lobby provides snacks and quick drinks. HYP Pool Bar serves the rooftop area, while Sips N Taps operates as a casual sports bar.
Breakfast is available at Cosmic Kitchen for a fee. It is not automatically included with every room. Guests should check their rate or eligible Marriott Bonvoy benefit before arrival.
Room service is available around the clock according to Marriott’s current room information.
