Updated October 2026: menu prices, opening hours, payment details and visitor guidance have been checked against current listings.
Jikasei Mensho serves modern ramen inside Shibuya PARCO. The counter combines house made noodles, creamy chicken broth, A5 Wagyu and several fully vegan bowls.
Our visit centred on the yuzu scented Wagyu chicken paitan ramen. Its rich broth, fresh noodles and bright citrus made the bowl memorable. The visible noodle boxes and busy queue also reinforced the restaurant’s workshop style identity.

The Ramen Experience
Jikasei Mensho feels more contemporary than a traditional neighbourhood ramen shop. The open counter keeps the cooking process visible, while the compact room creates energy.
The noodles are a central part of the concept. Wooden Mensho Factory boxes were stacked beside the counter during our visit, emphasising the house made approach.
Our photographed bowl combined chicken paitan broth with A5 Wagyu, a seasoned egg, greens and yuzu. The broth looked creamy, while the citrus helped balance its richness.
The restaurant also serves soy sauce and salt ramen. This gives visitors lighter alternatives to the richer chicken paitan bowls.
Current Menu and Prices
Published June 2026 prices list soy sauce and salt ramen at ¥1,100. The white truffle Wagyu chicken paitan is ¥1,250.
The yuzu Wagyu chicken paitan is listed at ¥1,350. That is the closest current match to the bowl photographed during our visit.
Vegan choices include tantanmen, dry tantanmen, miso ramen and spicy miso ramen. Published prices range from ¥1,200 to ¥1,350.
A children’s ramen set is listed at ¥900. Rice bowls and Wagyu side dishes can make the meal more substantial.
Menus and prices can change. Check the ticket screen before ordering rather than relying on an older photograph.
How Ordering Works
- Choose the bowl and extras on the touch screen ticket machine.
- Pay electronically and keep the meal ticket.
- Join the queue or follow the staff member’s seating instructions.
- Hand over the ticket when requested.
- Collect or receive the bowl according to the current service system.
The screen includes photographs and English support. This makes the process manageable for international visitors.
Queues and Best Time to Visit
Queues are common because the restaurant is compact and sits inside a busy shopping complex. Our visit also involved waiting before reaching the counter.
Arriving close to opening or outside normal lunch and dinner periods can reduce the wait. Weekend afternoons may still be busy.
Shibuya PARCO sometimes publishes 11am as the restaurant’s opening time. MENSHO currently lists 11:30am. Confirm the same day if timing matters.
Vegan and Dietary Options
The vegan range is unusually broad for a ramen restaurant. It includes broth and dry tantanmen, plus regular and spicy miso ramen.
Plant based diners should still confirm ingredients and preparation methods. The kitchen handles meat, eggs and other allergens.
Allergy information is available, but the compact counter may limit separation. Ask before purchasing the ticket if requirements are strict.
Price and Value
Most current bowls fall between ¥1,100 and ¥1,350. The prices are reasonable for central Shibuya and the ingredients offered.
The Wagyu bowls cost more than basic ramen, but the premium is clear. House made noodles and specialist toppings add to the experience.
