Review of Ritz Escoffier Cooking School

The four hour pastry cooking class at the Ritz Escoffier cooking school in Paris takes place in their hotel kitchen, in a dedicated section for the cooking school. Be prepared to stand for 4 hours!

You get to experience how the best French pastry chefs perfect their skills and make croissants and pain au chocolate every morning. From scratch it takes a long time to create and only minutes to devour. The beauty of this cooking course is that everything that needs to be prepared overnight is already done, so you can learn each step, but then the prep is already done so you can move onto the next steps quickly and easily.

The Ritz Escoffier cooking school teaches you how to turn yeast, flour, butter (lots), sugar (also lots) into crispy flaky croissants. You can be sneaky and add extra chocolate to the mix as well to make yours unique.

At the end of the course, you are presented a certificate and each student gets their own box of pastries to take home. The Ritz Escoffier cooking school courses are in French but there is a translator on staff if you need help. The classes are also very small maximum about 8 people so its always intimate enough to get all the help you need to learn and have fun along the way!
