Review of Le Relaise de Entrecôte Restaurant – Highlights
- No trip to Paris is complete without eating at Entrecôte at least once – with multiple locations across the city in Rue Marbeuf, Montparnasse and Saint Benoit equally popular with both local residents and tourists alike. The chain also has restaurants in Geneva, London, Zurich, New York and Dubai.
- Once seated the waitress will ask you: quelle cuisson which means how you want your meat cooked and is most popularly ordered medium, which is red inside and full of flavor. You are also given a small drinks menu which also has deserts on offer.
- Within moments everyone at the table is served their drinks and a small green salad with walnuts and mustard dressing. After waiting so long for a table the quick service and food on your table is heavenly! You can ask for seconds of the salad if you like, just let the waitress know and they will happily bring you another portion free of charge.
- The main attraction is served on your table with a tray and the small flame underneath that continues to cook the meat and keeps the sauce warm. The steak is a contre filet and the secret sauce is very buttery with herbs. They say the sauce is made with duck fat or fois gras, but we will never know as it is the best kept secret of the restaurant. There are always two portions of the steak served, so the waitress will come back and plate your the rest for you to enjoy this quintessential French steak frites.
- The best dessert to get is the ice cream with whipped cream and comes like a tower on the table which is perfect for sharing. If you are feeling extra indulgent order some profiteroles along with it.
