- Already a popular choice in Dubai, the brainchild of Hatem Mattar, has been cooking up brisket and smoked meats for delivery since 2017. The restaurant in Time Out Market is a realization of his obsession to create the perfect meats from chorizo sausage to pastrami to mac and cheese, you’ll find all your smokehouse dreams come true here!
- The most popular dish is the smoked brisket (by half pound) with mac and cheese on the side. If you want a full experience of all slices of meats and sides, you can opt for the BBQ trays, they come in small or big and include the brisket, beef ribs, chorizo as well as sides and sauces, starting from 200 AED (approx. 55 USD) up to 375 AED (approx. 102 USD).
- You don’t even need to follow directions, but you should be able to smell your way to the Mattar farm by following your nose.
- If you are a group of meat eaters or carnivores, then order generously as dishes from Mattar Farm will likely be some of the most popular on your table. To avoid having to wait again – as chef Mattar likes to say “don’t be stingy” in the kitchen, order up!

- Due to Covid capacity limitations there can be a queue to get into the Time Out Market so if you arrive at dinner time expect to wait 10-30 minutes to enter or longer on weekends.
- Local Fire by Mattar is by far one of the most popular restaurants in the Time Out Market with queues up to 45 minutes long.
- The portions are regular sized so come with friends to share multiple dishes between everyone.
- Word is that there will be a Time Out event pass that will allow you to pay one fee, like a Time Out Market brunch where you get a set number of dishes (to choose from any restaurants) or drinks for a set price.

- Some of the restaurants, such as Mattar Farm have a 45 minute wait. A good hack to avoid waiting in line to order is to download the Time Out Market app on iOS or Android and you can place your order directly on the app. Make sure you have push notifications enabled to let you know when your order is ready for collection as you will not get a physical buzzer this way.
- Come at off peak hours to avoid the queues as you can stay as long as you like once you are inside. There is a gorgeous outdoor terrace balcony with views over Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain shows.
