The Fairmont hotel in Dubai is one of the first hotels built on the palm, almost a landmark with two residential apartment buildings on either side with the same design, known as Fairmont North and South Residences respectively.

Review of Fairmont Hotel The Palm – Highlights
- The hotel was built with Arabic flair design as you can see from the exterior with the interior continuing on the same theme but with more modern touches and elements. The  moment you enter the property you feel you are on vacation, from the large open reception to the views directly opposite the entrance of the Arabian ocean and Palm you are greeted with warmth.
- The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning, spanning across to crescent on the palm, with the One and Only The Palm hotel on the opposite (last hotel on the crescent). On the right side across the water are the fronds and on the left side (pictured below) is Dubai Marina and further down JBR up to the newly built Dubai Eye and Bluewater island. Behind the hotel will be the St Regis The Palm which will share the same stretch of beach along the west side of the trunk.
- As the hotel is right on the beach, dining outside, al fresco is possible as there is a year round breeze along the water and some excellent restaurants to choose from such as Little Miss India and Ba (an Asian concept).
- Breakfast at the hotel is held at Flow, which is the all day dining restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. As the stay was in early 2021 there were still Covid precautions in place and the buffet was assisted with staff. One point of note is that if you wanted to have anything not on display such as avocados the hotel staff informed us this would be an additional charge.
- The room we stayed in was the deluxe room which includes a balcony and Arabic inspired design. The rooms at the hotel in general are very spacious and this one in particular had a walk in closet, very large bathroom with bathtub and walk in shower. There was also a lounge chair, desk and coffee machine with pods to make your own.
Review of Fairmont The Palm Hotel – Things to Note
- As of April 2021 there was still construction on either side of the hotel, as the last few buildings and hotels on the Palm get finished. This leads to a bit of noise in the mornings and during the day.
- Likewise the beach at the hotel which used to take up almost the entire trunk of the palm is now squeezed into the area directly in front of the hotel. Which means no beach access (except through the hotel) for those who stay in the residences (located on the right and left of the hotel).
Review of Fairmont The Palm Dubai – Tips
- There are plenty of benefits for Accor loyalty programme members from upgrades, early check in, late check out, free high speed internet and more. Sign up in the link for more information.
- There are plenty of offers available with this property usually with f&b included such as half board or full board. For example at this moment, you can book a standard room for 699 AED (about 200 usd) and get the same 699 AED back as food and beverage credit. The credit can be used against any of their restaurants, bars or lounges at the hotel. This is a pretty good staycation deal especially considering that brunch would probably cost around the same price.
