Review of Bulgari Hotel Bali – Highlights
- The resort features just 59 villas situated in Uluwatu and near to one of Bali’s most sacred temples (full of frisky monkeys) and some of the most famous beaches in the world for surfing. It takes about 40-60 minutes to reach the hotel from Bali’s Denpasar International Airport.
- From the moment you arrive at the resort you are whisked away to your villa, in our case the ocean cliff view villa which features dramatic views and steep cliffs. While the villa layouts are for the most part the same the views in the morning and at sunset from your private cliff side villa are truly worth the extra money. The villas feature a large out door plunge pool and dining and lounge area. The bathrooms in the villa are equally impressive and almost as large as the entire bedrooms themselves complete with outdoor shower, indoor shower, large bath tub and of course signature bulgari amenities. The room was stocked with fresh fruit daily.
- The hotel features its own private secluded beach which can be accessed via the inclination which is a type of elevator that traverses up and down the cliff from the resort to the beach side. Only hotel guests are allowed to use and access the beach which makes it even more exclusive!
- The Italian restaurant Il Ristorante and other outlets are stunning with flawless service and the spectacular rooms. The tables are spaced apart for privacy with dim lighting at the restaurant, bar and lounges. See below for photos, as you can see it was not super bright, but perfect for the occasion.
- When staying at a luxury resort one of the most important factors is the service and the Bulgari Bali does not disappoint, the team is spot on, very attentive and discrete in remembering your preferences making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Review of Bulgari Resort Bali – Things to Note
- There is not much around the resort so if you want to go anywhere you will need to leave by car which can take a bit of time due to traffic in Bali. We did manage to walk around outside the resort and there was a small market and food stalls where you could purchase coconuts. When back at the resort the housekeeping team opened them for us to drink.
- The breakfast offering is not massive but is carefully thought out and of the highest quality. That being said if there is anything specific you desired, the hotel would gladly assist in arranging it.
- The loungers at the beach are usually shaded without much sun access so your best bet to catch some rays is at your private villa or by the infinity pool.
- The hotel does not participate in Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program for earning or redeeming.
Review of Bulgari Resort Bali – Tips
- While tempting to stay inside your villa the large infinity pool at the resort is equally as enjoyable with stunning views and large comfortable sun loungers. There is also board games to borrow and plenty of food and drinks to order around the pool.
- Book a tour of the nearby Uluwatu Temple while staying at the hotel. The temple is famous for its mischievous monkeys so if you go keep watch out for your belongings.
