The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the world’s most concentrated displays of superyachts, design, marine technology and luxury services. We visited the 2026 edition at Port Hercule to see how the event feels beyond its polished promotional images.

The scale is the first thing that stands out. Superyachts fill the harbour, tenders occupy the surrounding quays, and specialist exhibitors cover everything from yacht design to water toys, interiors and onboard technology. It is visually impressive, but this is also a serious commercial event. The experience makes the most sense for prospective owners, charter clients, industry visitors and committed yacht enthusiasts.

Monaco Yacht Show 2026 Details

Location: Port Hercule, Monaco

Dates: 23 to 26 September 2026

Opening hours: 10:00 to 18:30 from Wednesday to Friday, and 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday

What it is: An international superyacht exhibition with yachts, tenders, designers, brokers, shipyards and specialist suppliers

Best for: Yacht buyers, charter clients, marine professionals and visitors with a strong interest in luxury yachting

Vibe: Polished, business focused and busy, with a spectacular harbour setting

Website: Official Monaco Yacht Show website

Monaco Yacht Show 2026 Highlights

More than 120 superyachts and 60 luxury tenders advertised for the 2026 Dockside Area

Close views of new yachts, refitted vessels and specialist tenders around Port Hercule

Displays covering yacht design, interiors, water toys, onboard technology and luxury services

Free shuttle boats and electric golf carts between exhibition areas

A rare chance to see the yachting industry gathered in one compact harbour

Arriving at Port Hercule

Port Hercule becomes a controlled exhibition site during the show. Security checks and separate entrances help manage the flow of visitors. The layout is larger than it first appears, so it is worth checking the official show map before arriving.

Monaco Monte Carlo station is a practical arrival point because parking in the principality is limited and traffic can build quickly. Visitors coming from Italy can also compare the journey with our Trenitalia Intercity review from Ventimiglia. Comfortable shoes are essential because most of the day is spent walking on quays, pontoons and temporary exhibition flooring.

Our Monaco Yacht Show Experience

We started by walking through the exhibitor areas before moving towards the yachts and tenders. The mix is broad. Alongside the major shipyards and brokers, we found design studios, marine technology, water toys, fabrics, wine storage systems, vehicles and detailed scale models.

The Dockside Area delivers the strongest visual impact. Large yachts sit very close together, which makes it possible to compare hull profiles, stern layouts, beach clubs and tender storage. A general visitor pass provides access to the exhibition, but it does not automatically include yacht tours. Boarding is usually controlled by the exhibitor and often requires an appointment or invitation.

Several sterns were opened to display pools, lounges and water level terraces. These views explain current yacht design more clearly than a brochure can. The tenders and watercraft were equally interesting because they showed how much engineering and styling now extends beyond the main yacht.

The event also has an unexpectedly varied lifestyle side. We passed luxury car displays, interior suppliers, hospitality stands and art focused presentations. These areas provide a welcome break from the pontoons and reinforce that the show covers the wider world built around a yacht, not only the vessels themselves.

Tickets and Value

For 2026, the official ticketing page lists a Wednesday visitor pass at €400, without access to the Dockside Area. A standard one day pass for the remaining public days costs €700. Two day and three day passes cost €1,300 and €2,070 respectively. Prices and access conditions can change, so it is important to check the official ticket page before booking.

This is expensive for casual sightseeing. The value improves if you are researching a purchase, planning a charter, meeting suppliers or following the industry closely. Visitors who mainly want the Monaco atmosphere may prefer to combine a shorter show visit with another Riviera experience, such as the gardens and sea views at Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.

Things to Note Before Visiting

A visitor ticket does not guarantee access inside individual yachts.

Appointments are valuable if there are specific yachts, brokers or suppliers you want to meet.

The harbour route includes narrow pontoons and busy access points.

Shade is limited in several outdoor sections, so bring sun protection and water.

Smart casual clothing fits the atmosphere, but practical footwear matters more than formal shoes.

Food and drink inside the event can be expensive and busy at peak times.

Photography may be restricted on private stands or aboard yachts. Ask before taking close interior pictures.

Tips for the Monaco Yacht Show

Arrive near opening time to explore before the busiest period.

Download the map and shortlist exhibitors before entering.

Use the free shuttle boats and golf carts when they save a long walk.

Allow at least half a day for a first visit. A full day is better for serious research.

Keep your ticket and identification easy to reach for controlled access points.

Confirm yacht appointments in advance rather than relying on availability at the dock.

For a nearby stay, our Le Méridien Beach Plaza Monaco review covers a practical seafront base.

Monaco Yacht Show Booking Checklist

Choose the correct visitor day and confirm whether Dockside Area access is included.

Buy through the official ticketing page and save the digital pass to your phone.

Request yacht or exhibitor appointments before the show.

Mark priority stands on the official map.

Plan your train or parking before travelling to Monaco.

Bring identification, comfortable shoes, sun protection and a refillable water bottle.

Monaco Yacht Show 2026 FAQ

Can the public attend the Monaco Yacht Show?

Yes. Public visitor access is available with a valid pass, although Wednesday access and the Dockside Area have separate conditions.

Can visitors board the superyachts?

Not automatically. Yacht access is controlled by each exhibitor and often requires a confirmed appointment or invitation.

How long should you spend at the show?

Allow at least four hours for a general visit. A full day is more realistic if you have meetings or want to explore every exhibition area.

What should you wear?

Smart casual clothing works well. Choose comfortable, stable shoes because the route includes pontoons, stairs and long stretches of walking.

Is the Monaco Yacht Show worth the ticket price?

It can be worthwhile for serious yacht buyers, charter clients and industry visitors. Casual visitors should weigh the high entry price against how much time they plan to spend inside.

The Brief Review Verdict

The Monaco Yacht Show is an extraordinary display of scale, design and engineering. Port Hercule provides a memorable setting, and the range extends far beyond the superyachts themselves. Tenders, technology, interiors and specialist suppliers make the event useful as well as visually impressive.

The main limitation is value for a casual visitor. Tickets are expensive, the event is commercially focused, and general admission does not guarantee yacht tours. For serious buyers, charter clients and dedicated enthusiasts, however, few events offer this concentration of yachts and expertise in one place.

Best for: Superyacht buyers, charter clients, marine professionals and committed yacht enthusiasts.

Skip it if: You mainly want inexpensive sightseeing or expect unrestricted access inside the yachts.
