The hotel is located in China Town, next to the Maxwell MRT station and just 25 minutes from the Changi International Airport. The hotel is unassuming and one might miss it on first pass, as the entrance is tucked into the side of a small street.
On entering the 130 room boutique colonial style hotel designed by French architect Frank Garcia, you are immediately surrounded by a unique property, previously the Six Senses Hotel Singapore, certainly not cookie cutter from the Marriott portfolio and deserving of the Autograph Collection tag. The team are helpful to get you checked in and explain the features and services within the property.
There is a 25 meter outdoor pool and gym on the 2nd floor as well as lobby lounge and restaurant on the ground floor, which doubles as the hotels Bonvoy elite club lounge. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member a continental breakfast is served in the lobby restaurant, where you can select one of the main courses (they are light breakfast options) as well as any of the freshly squeeze cold press juices (these are a highlight an sold normally at 20$ a bottle). In the afternoons a light snack is offered with coffee, tea or juices and for pre-dinner snacks are also offered from a a la carte selection with a choice of cocktails and alcoholic beverages.
The rooms are well appointed with careful details such as the expansive in room mini bar with a huge selection of spirits, mixers and cocktail equipment and glassware on hand. There is a small but working desk in room as well another small but functional seating and lounge area in the suite opposite the bathroom.
The key highlight of the suite is truly the large and very livable bathroom which feature both a walk in shower and full size bathtub as well as double sink and all the amenities you could need from Diptyque cosmetics. The hairdryer is also very powerful and much higher standard.

The rooms in the hotel are quite compact. We were upgraded to their second highest suite category and the bed itself took up almost the entire room. However the bathroom’s were very generously sized.
The pool is a great feature especially during the hotter more humid months in Singapore however it is really suited for one or two people doing laps otherwise more of a plunge pool to escape the heat.

There are plenty of benefits for Marriott Bonvoy members from upgrades, early check in, late check out, free high speed internet and more. As a Marriott elite member you can choose either 1,000 welcome points, daily breakfast or a welcome amenity. If you are staying more than one night, the best value would be the free daily breakfast for two.
If you are a Marriott Bonvoy elite member, the freshly squeezed cold press juices at the lobby lounge restaurant are complimentary all day long and are a benefit unlike any other property, these are extremely high quality fresh juices made on site.

Review of Four Points Singapore – Highlights

The hotel is located near Clark Quay right on the riverside, with direct access by foot from the rear of the hotel, and just 30 minutes door to door from the Changi Airport. Interestingly the hotel is right next to another Marriott property from the design collection the Warehouse Hotel Singapore.
The entrance and appearance of the hotel are very much business oriented with a focus on functionality over design. This is fine as majority of the guests are staying on business and those that are not will appreciate its efficiency.
On the left side of the lobby is the all day dining restaurant where breakfast is served. Speaking of which, the breakfast here deserves a special mention, as the quality is superb, especially compared to the brand standard in the United States, featuring a large selection of Western, Indian and Chinese options.
On the right side of the lobby is the bar and coffee shop, serving Starbucks operated by the hotel. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum or above member, the hotel offers the your first 4 drinks free from 6-8pm during their happy hour. This is a special benefit and above your welcome amenity, which other Four Points typically do not offer.
Our riverside room was upgraded from the standard city view room and the views of the river and city are spectacular, overlooking Singapore and soaking in how green and lush the city really is.
The room itself is quite standard with all the classic amenities and Marriott offerings, including a large work desk and seating area. The key highlights in room are of course the bed, as well as another unusual perk being the minibar snacks are also offered complimentary. These included chips, chocolates, water and soft drinks.

The breakfast in the morning, even as soon as the breakfast opens, can get quite busy. As this is a business hotel, most guests tend to be up earlier.
