The new Bahrain International Airport unveiled in 2021 is thoughtfully designed with modern touch and local flair. The entire arrival process is seamless with easy guidance and flow to the immigration, PCR arrival test and baggage claim. Likewise the process for departure is smooth and seamless with a dedicated wing for first and business class.
This new terminal cost over $1 billion dollars to construct and grows the overall airport square footage by 4 times in size.
The airport hosts a multitude of food and beverage outlets from healthy to fast food as well as cafes such as Illy and the only Al Baik chicken outlet outside of Saudi Arabia.
The views from the departure terminal give aviation geeks an amazing view of all planes taking off and landing as well as the planes connected to the terminals through the large floor to ceiling (and its a high ceiling) windows along the airside strip.

Lounge Key, Priority pass or other lounge passes are not yet set up to work with the two lounges at the departure gate, Pearl Lounge and Falcon Lounge. These are currently set up only to accept ticketed business class passengers on affiliated airlines. This information is valid as of March 2021, one month after the new Bahrain International Airport officially opened.

If you are traveling first or business class there is a dedicated terminal for you on the left side of the departure gate. The setting is more lounge and 5 star hotel layout with a dedicated passport control and private dedicated security check point similar to a fast pass.
If you are landing into Bahrain International Airport make sure you download the BeAware (link for iOS) application ahead of time to save time, as it will be mandatory as of 2020 and 2021 when you are landing. The application serves as your tracking device which will monitor if you came in contact with anyone with Covid-19. You will need to use the BeAware app to pay for your PCR tests on arrival and you can also use it to view your test results and book exit test appointments.

The Le Meridien hotel in Bahrain is located inside the City Centre Mall. The mall is right on the main highway and has plenty of shops, entertainment such as a cinema and waterpark as well as restaurants, cafes and a Carrefour supermarket.
The hotel is connected to the Westin City Centre hotel (click for review) and shares a few common spaces such as gym and pool. During Covid and at the time of writing this review the breakfast and lounge access for guests of the Le Meridien hotel are at the Westin property which is a 5 minutes walk.
The rooms and design have a modern Arabic flair with artistic accents in the room and around the property. The hotel has 260 rooms and 600 sq feet of banqueting and meeting room spaces.

The executive lounge serves snacks during the day (with take away packaging) as well as daily selection of dinner bites all packaged for take away to your room, as there is no dine in allowed.
The service can be slow at times due to limited number of staff on duty as such when you call to reception the lines can be busy. Likewise there is no concierge and the reception double this task to assist with guest questions.

Centrally located hotel in Bahrain which shares a sister property the Le Meridien Hotel Bahrain as well. Both are located inside the City Centre Bahrain mall, which is the largest mall in the country. The hotel enjoys super quick access to the highway and within 20 minutes by car can arrive at almost any destination within the country.
The look and feel of the hotel is simple and understated, with a focus on business the hotel has all the amenities one might need as well as a business center in the lobby and an executive lounge on the 10th floor.
The hotel has 200 guest rooms and suites each with the heavenly Westin signature bed offering a comfortable nights rest. On the bedside are also scented balms that you can rub on your arms and forehead to help you fall asleep.
State of the art TV system to connect all your devices including Netflix, YouTube and other applications streamed.
There is a lobby lounge cafe as well as all day dining restaurant on the ground floor. On the pool mezzanine level there is a bar and lounge as well for drinks and food during the day and into the evening.
