• The resort is located in Ungasan which is part of Uluwatu, the southern most part of Bali. The Four Points hotel, previously Golden Tulip Uluwatu is just a 30-40 minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) airport depending on traffic. • The price of this hotel is a key highlight, as it is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program at approx 40-60 USD per night or 6-7.500 points, it is fantastic value for money.
• Upon arriving at the hotel, you are greeted by a large open air lobby, with a rock and waterfall feature. The landing when you arrive at the hotel is simply for check in, reception and concierge. The rest of the property is spread over multiple levels, with the main common areas on a level above the lobby – featuring the swimming pool, all day dining restaurant, bar, gym, spa and conference rooms.
• The rooms in the Four Points Ungasan are large and recently refreshed. The rooms come with all the standard amenities as well as complimentary water.
• Breakfast is at the all day dining restaurant Evolution and covers the basics continental plus hot section as well as an egg station, and is very generous for the price.
• The hotel acts as a fantastic base for your stay in Uluwatu, located in the central part of the peninsula with awesome views (if your room is located on a high enough floor). You can take advantage of the amazing beaches, spas, gyms, restaurants and bars that make up the area.

Four Points Bali Uluwatu Review – Things to Note

• The hotel is spread over multiple levels, so to get out of the property, depending on your floor you will need to take up to 2 separate elevators.
• The hotel is located in Uluwatu, so going to and from the main part of the island, can take time, as there is just a single road going into and out of Uluwatu. Depending on the traffic, one can expect a 30 minute car ride to get out of the peninsula.
• Grab and Gojek are not welcomed in Uluwatu with plenty of signs telling them they are banned in this part of the island. However during our stay we had no trouble using Grab to get bikes or cars.

• There are plenty of benefits for Marriott Bonvoy members from upgrades, early check in, late check out, free high speed internet and more. As a Marriott elite member you can choose either 1,000 welcome points, daily breakfast or a welcome amenity. If you are staying more than one night, the best value would be the free daily breakfast for two.
• Download Grab or Gojek app to book and hire bikes and cars to get around easily.
• Famous beach clubs are within 15-25 minutes from the hotel depending on traffic such as Ulu Beach Club, Sundays Beach Club and Single Finn. They typically open around mid day and close at 10pm, with the exception of some days where they stay open till late for parties once or twice a week.

Review of Four Points Singapore – Highlights

• The hotel is located near Clark Quay right on the riverside, with direct access by foot from the rear of the hotel, and just 30 minutes door to door from the Changi Airport. Interestingly the hotel is right next to another Marriott property from the design collection the Warehouse Hotel Singapore.
• The entrance and appearance of the hotel are very much business oriented with a focus on functionality over design. This is fine as majority of the guests are staying on business and those that are not will appreciate its efficiency.
• On the left side of the lobby is the all day dining restaurant where breakfast is served. Speaking of which, the breakfast here deserves a special mention, as the quality is superb, especially compared to the brand standard in the United States, featuring a large selection of Western, Indian and Chinese options.
• On the right side of the lobby is the bar and coffee shop, serving Starbucks operated by the hotel. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum or above member, the hotel offers the your first 4 drinks free from 6-8pm during their happy hour. This is a special benefit and above your welcome amenity, which other Four Points typically do not offer.
• Our riverside room was upgraded from the standard city view room and the views of the river and city are spectacular, overlooking Singapore and soaking in how green and lush the city really is.
• The room itself is quite standard with all the classic amenities and Marriott offerings, including a large work desk and seating area. The key highlights in room are of course the bed, as well as another unusual perk being the minibar snacks are also offered complimentary. These included chips, chocolates, water and soft drinks.

Review of Four Points Phuket – Highlights

• The hotel is located about an hour drive from Phuket International Airport. Upon entering Patong in the last stretch of the drive you can start to notice the hustle and bustle of the city night life. The hotel is located directly opposite the public beach, though there is a street in between, on the quieter side of the beach strip (which is better for those needing a full nights rest).
• The hotel itself is quite large with over 600 guest rooms and a separate conference center. However, when approaching the hotel and lobby it does not seem obtrusive, instead it is modern and welcoming with traditional Thai elements such as being fully open air from the moment you step out of the car to the check in desk.
• At the lobby there is a bar and lounge as well as concierge desk to assist with local requests during your stay.
• The large pool is the center piece of the hotel, banked by 3 sides of buildings, east, west and north. The buildings on the left and right side, have rooms directly pool facing. While the north building at the end, houses the hotels all day dining concept Chao Leh Kitchen.
• Breakfast at the Four Points Phuket punches way above its weight both for the brand and the average price per night. The offering is both expansive and of good quality with plentiful attendants on hand to assist with any requests you may have. There is a large selection of Western and Thai options as well as Indian.
• The rooms and suites and modern and contain all the standard Marriott amenities and features, including coffee and tea machine, complimentary water and bathroom supplies. Likewise the beds are very comfortable with crisp linens and attention to detail placed in making sure the rooms are spotless and clean after every visit.

Review of Four Points Hotel Phuket – Things to Note

• Check in wait times can exceed 30 minutes if you are arriving during peak times between 11am to 4pm. So try and check in via the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app to get a virtual key.
• The hotel and areas around quiet down around 11-12pm midnight so if you are looking for nightlife head to Bangla Road which is just 15 min walk along the beach or 5 minutes by tuk tuk.

Hotel Four Points By Sheraton Review

The Four Points by Sheraton hotel is ideally situated with easy access across the Emirate and has excellent views of the old town and city.

The hotel itself is quite simple but well appointed. The lobby is modern and clean – with a cafe near the entrance. We were upgraded to a business suite, which are on the corners of each floor and have large expansive views overlooking the ocean and lagoons. The below is from the entrance when you arrive into the suite.

Following the entrance there is a hallway with a mirror and two bathrooms, the first is the guest bathroom and the second is the main master bathroom. It is interesting to have two washrooms right next to each other – they are also very similar with the main difference being that the master bathroom has a walk in shower.

The guest bathroom, modern and well appointed.

Immediately after the guest bathroom is the master bathroom of similar look and feel with the addition of a walk in shower.

All amenities were present of the standard Four Points by Sheraton branding.

Opposite the master bathroom is the living room which is simple in set up with a sofa and chaise long.

There was a fruit platter given as a welcome gift by the hotel, which was a kind gesture and wrapped in plastic for hygiene purposes.

From the living room there is access to the main bedroom of the suite through a sliding door.

The bedroom set up was like most standard rooms allowing for plenty of access points for power on the desk and night stands.

As well the bed – on the side of the room the curtains were a non traditional Four Points material and design – seemingly taken from local inspiration.

Overall a very pleasant stay at the Four Points hotel in Sharjah. The other facilities include a gym and swimming pool on the podium level.
