• Lounge: The hotel does not have a lounge on site. They do offer coffee, tea, water and soft drinks all day from the restaurant on the main floor. As well as, 3 selected light bites during the day, that the chef prepares. This is coupled with alcoholic beverages such as cocktails, beer and wine in the afternoon. These can be served at the rooftop pool or in their lobby restaurant.

• The hotel is located in China Town, next to the Maxwell MRT station and just 25 minutes from the Changi International Airport. The hotel is unassuming and one might miss it on first pass, as the entrance is tucked into the side of a small street.
• On entering the 130 room boutique colonial style hotel designed by French architect Frank Garcia, you are immediately surrounded by a unique property, previously the Six Senses Hotel Singapore, certainly not cookie cutter from the Marriott portfolio and deserving of the Autograph Collection tag. The team are helpful to get you checked in and explain the features and services within the property.
• There is a 25 meter outdoor pool and gym on the 2nd floor as well as lobby lounge and restaurant on the ground floor, which doubles as the hotels Bonvoy elite club lounge. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member a continental breakfast is served in the lobby restaurant, where you can select one of the main courses (they are light breakfast options) as well as any of the freshly squeeze cold press juices (these are a highlight an sold normally at 20$ a bottle). In the afternoons a light snack is offered with coffee, tea or juices and for pre-dinner snacks are also offered from a a la carte selection with a choice of cocktails and alcoholic beverages.
• The rooms are well appointed with careful details such as the expansive in room mini bar with a huge selection of spirits, mixers and cocktail equipment and glassware on hand. • The rooms in the hotel are quite compact. We were upgraded to their second highest suite category and the bed itself took up almost the entire room. However the bathroom’s were very generously sized.
• The pool is a great feature especially during the hotter more humid months in Singapore however it is really suited for one or two people doing laps otherwise more of a plunge pool to escape the heat.

Review of La Ville Hotel & Suites City Walk Hotel

• La Ville Hotel is currently the only hotel in City Walk until the Rove Hotel opens in late 2021. The hotel has a unique boutique hotel vibe which feels cozy and accessible at the same time. The location inside City Walk provides ample place to walk around to visit shop, restaurants and other entertainment such as cinema and rain forest exhibit. The beach is also just 10 minutes away.
• The hotel has a large open lobby feeding into other areas of City Walk through their restaurants and offices and clinics to the back side.
• Check in at the hotel was seamless, as it is a smaller property it is in general not so busy at the reception. The hotel has just 4 floors and a pool level on top and is split between residences (apartments) and hotel section.
• The La Ville Hotel also has quite a few restaurant outlets, Graze and Chival are located on the ground floor as well as pool bar with small bites on the roof top, which as expansive views of Downtown Dubai.
• Breakfast is served at Chival restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating available. The quality of the ingredients and presentation of the breakfast selection is excellent.

Things to Note at La Ville Hotel & Suites City Walk Hotel

• The hotel is quite low so people passing by on the streets can potentially see into your room if you keep the curtains open.
• The gym is quite small at the hotel and due to social distancing only two running machines could be used at one time.

• There are plenty of benefits for Marriott Bonvoy members from upgrades, early check in, late check out, free high speed internet and more.
• Try out Hapi restaurant while you are in the area as it is less than a 5 minute walk away and is one of the best healthy vegan cafes in Dubai, a true hidden gem!
